We’re continuing our tour de force and this time we’re hitting up Siggraph 2013 in California, because we’ve got something to show when it comes to computer vision and 3D sensing. Our partners have been using PrimeSense tech to give their applications the gift of sight and Siggraph 2013 is your chance to check it out with your very own eyes.
We’ll be demonstrating in the OpenNI Booth #740, our Capri sensor, the tiny next generation embedded 3D sensor that will power mobile 3D sensing applications on a Nexus 10 tablet from Google. We’ll be showing applications from Augmented Reality games to 3D scanning and we’ll reveal a brand mobile 3D sensing application at Siggraph. The PrimeSense NiTE™ middleware will be there as well, to track your motions.
“Utilizing PrimeSense’s technology, whether it’s our Carmine sensor or the new tiny embedded Capri sensor, OpenNI developers are continually discovering new ways to impact a multitude of industries and our everyday lives with 3D sensing.” –Tal Dagan, VP Marketing and Product of PrimeSense, pioneering founder of OpenNI
Delicode will be demonstrating their recently release Z Vector depth video and visualization software based on OpenNI SDK and powered by PrimeSense Carmine™ 3D sensor. The Z Vector live visuals bring the music video to life with live interactive VJ and visualization software using the input from Prime Sense’s 3D sensor. Just back from MLOVE, you can see the feature live.
VanGogh Imaging isn’t to be missed either. Using the PrimeSense 3D Sensor, their program Starry Night identifies objects in a real-world setting and determines their location, orientation and measurements. The software can analyze static 3D scans, as well as real-time 3D streams. It is especially well suited for human gesture recognition and object recognition applications and can operate across a host of platforms ranging from smartphones to consumer electronics.
We’ll also be supporting OpenNI as our friends present at the Kinect Scanning Users event taking place on TUESDAY, 24 JULY 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM. The event will feature presentations of apps by many OpenNI partners such as: Skanect, ReconstructME, Kcan3D, Scenect, Artec and Matterport!
Stop by and see us at Booth #740, or contact us to set up a meeting. See you there!
